Alchemist slots are part of the Deluxe series by Novomatic, an Austria-based developer. The magic-themed game has 5 reels with 20 customizable pay lines. Rules

In the Alchemist video slot, a user has to manage to get a combination (from 2 to 5) of matching symbols. Up to 20 pay lines may be used while playing. To set the number of active pay lines there are “+” and “-“ buttons in the Lines menu. Reels are launched after pressing Start button and in order to enable automatic mode, there is an Autoplay control element. An amount of bet per line is managed via Line/Bet menu. It may vary from 1 to 100 credits. To look through the index table Paytable button is used.

Symbols and payouts

Mage symbol has the highest payoffs in the game. Combinations matching 2,3,4 and 5 of these symbols have winnings multiplied by 10x, 100x, 1000x, 5000x accordingly. Scatter and Wild symbols are represented by the book symbol. Their payoffs are 40x, 400x, 4000x independently of their location at the screen. The dragon symbol multiplies bet on line by an index of 5x, 40x, 400x, or 2000x. The owl and flask have the indices of 5x, 30x, 100x and 750x. The card value symbols have the smallest payoffs. Their indices are:

• А, К — 5x, 40x, 150x;
• Q, J, 10 – 5x, 25x, 100x.

If a gambler gets a winning combination he’s given a right to multiply his total payoff in a risk game.

Risk game

After getting a winning combination the Gamble button on a control panel lights up. Pressing it starts a risk game. This round begins with an appearance of the inverted pyramid divided into five horizontal bars. The lowermost starts to flicker. If a gambler hits the double button while it’s highlighted – his payoff will be doubled. Bonus round continues and the next bar starts flickering. If he fails to hit a bar in time then he loses his last payoff.

Free spins

When at least 3 Scatters appear anywhere on the screen it triggers free spins for a gambler. The number of spins depends on Scatter symbol combination:

• 3 Scatters – 10 spins;
• 4 Scatters – 12 spins;
• 5 Scatters – 15 spins.

During free spins, a Wild symbol is randomly selected.

How to win in Alchemist

There are two functions with highest payoffs in Alchemist:

• Risk game
• Free spins

It is recommended to activate risk game after getting combinations with small payoffs. For a round of free spins to yield the biggest payoffs a bet has to be gradually increased up until getting 3 or more Scatters.
