Blackjack Surrender from Playtech is a variant of the classic card game in which additional rules are introduced to make the gameplay more beneficial to the user. One essential feature is that there is the Surrender function implemented here, which allows players to secure themselves against losing big. Also, the gameplay involves side bets that bring new dynamism to it. The winnings can be as high as 100 to 1!

How to play Blackjack Surrender

After the game starts, the user will have to select their preferred limits:

  • From 5 to 2000 credits.
  • From 1 to 2000 credits.
  • From 0.1 to 200 credits.

The range of wager limits this wide makes this blackjack version the best choice for both high rollers and players who are afraid to betting it big. The Chips menu is located in the lower left corner of the screen. Once you have selected a suitable denomination, you can place the chips on the playing field. The main task is to get a combination of cards on the hand that adds up to 21 points or the closest possible value. If the game participant scores 22 or more points, he automatically loses. Cards from 2 to 10 are valued as indicated. The illustrated cards of Jack, Queen, and King are worth 10 points each. An ace brings the player either 11 or 1, whichever game situation is more beneficial to the player.

There is a maximum of 5 hands in the game, and the player may use any number of them. The following betting options are available:

  • Player’s winning.
  • Dealer’s pair.
  • Player’s pair.
  • 21 + 3.

As soon as the player places at least one chip, a menu for managing them will appear on the screen:

  • X2 doubles all bets placed.
  • Clear Bets removes all placed chips from the playing field.
  • Undo cancels the last action.

If the user is sure of all the bets made, they can proceed to the dealing by pressing the Deal button. By clicking on each of the active hands, 2 cards will be dealt. If the player considers the total sum of points received to be insufficient, they can request an additional card by pressing the Hit button. If the player is satisfied with the total sum of points, they use the Stand button.

When the two cards on your hand are of the same denomination, they can be divided by pressing the Split button. If the user gets a weak combination, he can take advantage of the Surrender function and fold the weak hand, getting back half of the bet. Once the winner is declared, players can rebet the same amounts placed in the previous round, double those, or select new ones. In the event of a tie, the bet is returned to the player.

Table layout and payments

The game takes place on a virtual table covered with green cloth imitating a classic blackjack table in a respectable real-life casino. The gameplay is enhanced by voice prompts, which make it possible even for a beginner to quickly understand the rules. If the player is dealt a blackjack, the payout will be 3 to 2. The payout odds for a standard winning are X2. Winning side bets are paid out as follows:

  • Pair – 6 to 1, 12 to 1, 25 to 1.
  • 21+3 – 5 to 1, 10 to 1, 30 to 1, 40 to 1, 100 to 1.

How to win at Blackjack Surrender

This blackjack version is of good standing among the gambling community, as it minimizes the advantage of the house by introducing the Surrender rule. You can increase the chance of winning without requesting additional cards if you have a total of 17 points and more, or if you choose to place side bets.
